The Dutch RanestRane Fanclub is founded in June 2018 by Freek Vos. He became a fan of the band after attending a live performance of A Space Odyssey – part one – Monolith, on the 23rd of October 2014, when RanestRane acted as a support band for the Steve Rothery Band, at De Boerderij in Zoetermeer.

In March 2015 RanestRane was one of the support bands at the Marillion Weekend. As Freek, wearing a RanestRane tourshirt, was waiting at the check-in, the band arrived. They spotted the tourshirt and a conversation followed, about the coming gig on Saturday, and the H.A.L. album, on which the band was working at that time.

In 2017 the idea was born to start a Dutch Fanclub. This became reality when Freek attended the RanestRane weekend in Italy in May 2018, after the band reacted enthousiastically to this idea.
